The latest in my line of work for the LlamaLAN ([link]) organisers!
I seem to enjoy enslaving myself to challenging projects, and so decided to draw multiple posters for the latest event - LlamaLAN IX. You can find out the thinking behind the concepts in this series by reading my latest journal post ([link]).
This one's a bit creepy. As this series progresses, so do the featured llama's cyborg modifications. LlamaLAN 5's tag line was 'The Phantom Llama', and was also the first LAN poster with all original artwork. The character was based on the Phantom of the Opera, but all we saw of him was a cloak drawn across half of his face. Funnily enough, the phantom character had the beginnings of a Terminator/Borg like implant over one eye, so his modifications were already halfway there some years ago. So, here he enjoys far more exposure and a way cooler gun stolen from Team Fortress 2's spy class.
The other much larger chap never had his own poster. Time escaped me and all I managed to get done for LlamaLAN 6 was a t-shirt. The tagline was "Lords of the Sixth", and so I drew a pair of eyes on a furry face with a red lightsaber held before them, the letters VI a part of the blade. So he also gets to enjoy a far more greater role. Sadly, not his own poster, but he'll have to live with it. Due to the aggressive nature of the Star Wars Universe's Sith persona, he gets lumbered with the TF2's Heavy Weapons Guy minigun.
I have to admit I think these posters are getting better with each new release, but that may just be exitement of finishing a new one.

the heavy weapons guy kinda looks like doctor doom because of his cloak and you know, the metal arms and all that
